SW50 Air Source Heat Pump — Quiet Confidence, Year-Round Comfort
Experience efficient, reliable hot tub heating with the SW50 Air Source Heat Pump — delivering 5 kW of heating power in a compact 33 kg body. With an impressive average COP of 9.1 at 50% speed, it provides exceptional performance while keeping running costs low. Designed to operate smoothly from -5°C to 43°C, it ensures warm, inviting water all year round — even through the coldest UK winters.
Why You’ll Love It
-
Lower running costs: High COP efficiency means it uses far less energy than a standard electric heater — saving you money every month.
-
All-season ready: Performs reliably, even in chilly conditions.
-
Built to last: The twisted titanium heat exchanger is highly resistant to corrosion for a long, maintenance-free life.
-
Easy to live with: Runs on a simple 230V single-phase supply, and at just 33 kg, it’s light, compact, and easy for our team to install.
Designed for Hot Tubs
Perfect for most home spas, the SW50 is recommended for 5–20 m³ water volumes, covering the vast majority of domestic hot tubs. Our team will confirm suitability for your specific model before installation.
How It Works
The SW50 works like an air conditioner in reverse — drawing heat from the surrounding air and transferring it into your spa water through a high-efficiency heat exchanger. The result? Consistent, comfortable temperatures using significantly less power. Simple, clean, and energy-efficient.
Quick Install, Tidy Footprint
-
Power: 230V single-phase
-
Clearance: 450 mm (air inlet), 1500 mm (fan outlet)
-
Typical setup: Outdoor installation with short pipe runs to your spa cabinet
Our professional installers handle everything — from connecting it to your tub’s system to setting the ideal clearances for top performance. This model is fully compatible with the 500 Series, 1000 Series, 2000 Series, Retreat Plus, and Retreat Bay XL hot tubs.
Will It Fit My Space?
Almost certainly. The SW50’s compact, lightweight design fits neatly in most gardens, requiring only clear airflow at the front and rear. We’ll advise the best siting during your install planning.
